How do I set up my 4-digit keycode?

For extra security on your WeSwap account, you need to set up a 4-digit keycode (this is sometimes called a passcode) to help you access the mobile app and your account. This is common practise with all online financial and banking apps since the introduction of PSD2 and SCA (which you can read about here).

You’ve got 3 options here.

Option 1: Do you see a banner asking you to set up your keycode when you log into the app?

If you haven’t set your keycode up yet, when you log into your mobile app you should see a banner across the top of your screen asking you to set one up.

  • Tap the banner and follow the instructions
  • You’ll need to enter your chosen code twice, the second time is to confirm you’ve input your chosen code correctly

Option 2: Do you see a banner asking you to verify your phone number or email address when you log into the app?

If you haven’t set your keycode up yet, when you log into your mobile app you should see a banner across the top of your screen asking you to set one up. However, you may see a banner asking you to verify your email address or phone number and a bell icon with a small number on it.

First, go ahead and verify any outstanding details (just tap the banners and follow the steps), then:

  • Tap the more tab
  • Tap Set your 4-digit keycode and follow the instructions
  • You’ll need to enter your chosen code twice, the second time is to confirm you’ve input your chosen code correctly

Option 3: If you can’t see a banner asking you to set up your keycode when you log into the app

  • Tap the more tab
  • Tap Set your 4-digit keycode and follow the instructions
  • You’ll need to enter your chosen code twice, the second time is to confirm you’ve input your chosen code correctly

Do you want to reset your keycode?

  • Tap the more tab
  • Tap Reset 4-digit keycode
